Prepare the Cookies: Crush the Maria’s cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a plastic bag and smashing them with a rolling pin.
Toast the Nuts: In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the chopped walnuts for about 3-5 minutes, stirring often until fragrant.
Melt the Chocolate: In a skillet over low heat, melt the chocolate chips with the heavy cream and diced butter. Stir regularly until the mixture is smooth.
Combine Ingredients: Remove the chocolate mixture from heat and whisk in the crumbled cookies and toasted walnuts until fully combined.
Shape the Salami: Transfer the mixture onto a large piece of plastic wrap. Shape it into a log or salami form using the wrap. Twist the ends to seal tightly.
Chill: Refrigerate the chocolate salami for at least 2-3 hours to firm up.
Dust and Serve: Once chilled, unwrap the salami and roll it in powdered sugar to coat evenly. Slice into rounds before serving.
