Instructions:
Create a Paste:
In a bowl, combine the baking soda and enough water to create a spreadable paste. Adjust the water amount as needed.
Apply the Paste:
Carefully remove the oven racks and apply the paste evenly to the interior surfaces of the oven, avoiding the heating elements. Focus on areas with built-up grime.
Let it Sit:
Allow the paste to sit for at least a few hours or overnight. This gives it time to break down grease and baked-on residue.
Scrub Away:
Using a damp cloth or sponge, scrub the paste away. You’ll notice that the grime comes off more easily.
Rinse with Vinegar:
Mix white vinegar and essential oil in a spray bottle. Spritz the interior of the oven with the mixture to help neutralize odors and remove any leftover baking soda residue.
Wipe Clean:
Wipe the oven interior with a clean, damp cloth to remove the vinegar and residue.
Replace Oven Racks:
Once everything is dry, put the oven racks back in place.
